Under my leadership as Sheriff of Citrus County, the CCSO made great progress in its ability to protect all citizens. This progress was validated by the National Law Enforcement Accreditation status awarded multiple times to the agency. 
Commissioner Jeff Kinnard continues to work to protect our most vulnerable and keep our communities safe, as he is a strong supporter of our law enforcement officers.  He knows the critical importance on public safety and security.

"Jeff Kinnard has been a great supporter of The Florida WellCare Alliance Medical School program since its inception. This program facilitates a partnership between our local physicians and hospitals with medical schools that need a Core Site to send their third- and fourth-year medical students and physician extenders so that they may continue their studies in medicine while receiving a hands-on learning experience. program has enabled the recruitment of new healthcare providers to Citrus County and assists our local physicians in finding the best candidates to fill future roles as Physicians, PA's, and Nurse Practitioners. The Citrus County Board of County Commissioners District 1 seat is sought by two-term incumbent Jeffery “Jeff” Kinnard of Crystal River and first-time candidate Curtiss Bryant of Lecanto.

Both have called Citrus County home since the early 1990s. Kinnard relocated here with his wife in 1995 to start his chiropractor practice. Bryant moved here in 1991 with his family as a young boy and now has a successful photography business.
